It seems as though every second the demands of life continue to grow stronger and stronger. The challenge is pushing forward without letting those demands crush you. We tend to think that we can handle it all, until we can’t. Together we will work to help you manage the stress and be more effective in the areas of life that are most important to you.

Treatment for stress management

Depending on your current coping strategies and stress response, we will target treatment to work for your own unique needs. We will set goals for what your ideal response to stressors may be and collaborate on the best ways to help you achieve said goals.

It is likely that new patterns of behavior and response to stress will take time, as we are often stuck in patterns that we have enacted for most of our lives. It takes courage and strength to step outside of the normal response and make gradual changes over time.

You will learn new and adaptive coping strategies, and find ones that may not be a good fit. You will learn to regulate your nervous system in the face of stress and, through that regulation, reduce your “fight or flight” response to any stressor that comes your way, making you more able to respond effectively using evidenced-based treatment proven to reduce the stress response.
